Recently I’ve embraced woodcut printmaking as a refreshing break from digital design. Woodcut printmaking involves intricately carving into a block of wood, where the carved-out areas remain ink-free and the raised surfaces are inked and pressed onto paper. The tactile feel of carving wood offers a relaxing outlet for my creativity. I began by making portraits of my friend’s dogs, capturing their unique personalities, and my engravings have since garnered enthusiastic feedback.
